as if physical bloody genocide wasn’t enough… basically kids were taken from their families and separated by sex and put in boarding school facilities. they were not allowed to speak their native tongue, practice their traditions, speak of their family, wear their clothes, or practice their religion. they were forced to convert and were given a new western name and subsequently ordered to forget their given one. routinely physically, sexually and emotionally abused. separated from all they once knew and exposed to diseases they had no defense against. only once they had completely assimilated and submitted were they recognized as deserving of influence. george fucking washington signed off on all of this and supported it as long as he was alive. this practice was common in the united states, central america, canada, and australia and its never fucking talked about in schools. routine abuse of innocent children apparently doesn’t even warrant a mention in mainstream education.
